The Friends of the Chantilly Regional Library were founded in April 1996. The community has responded enthusiastically and the group has grown to dozens of members. In November 2010, the children's area, information desk, reading and display areas were adjusted to improve movement through the building. This project was funded through the generosity of the Chantilly Regional Library Friends and the funds resulting from their book sales.
