Lost and Found Pets

Having a pet escape from your home or while on a walk can be a very nerve-racking experience ! The number one thing you can do to prepare, just in case this happens to you, is to have your pets microchipped. That way if your pets are separated from you, whoever finds them will be able to bring them to our shelter or any veterinarian's office to have them scanned for that chip, and it will make reuniting your pet with you much faster and easier!

If you have lost a pet, one of the first things you should do is file a lost pet report with us. If you've found a stray pet, it's crucial to make sure to file a found pet report!

Looking for a lost pet? You can view found animals online here, including all stray animals currently housed at the shelter and animals who have been found by someone who has filed a found report with the shelter.

If you've lost your pet, read through these tips and suggestions for locating them. It can be helpful to recruit friends to help you look, and remember the power of social media to help spread the word!

If your pet has been safely found and brought to the shelter - hooray!! We'll take good care of stray pets while they wait for their families to come pick them up. There are a few things you'll need to bring with you when you come to pick up your pet, so be prepared!
