Students from across Virginia attend this summer camp to learn about natural resources. Held July 14-20, 2024 on the Virginia Tech campus. NVSWCD provides a partial scholarship for two attendees each year, applications due April 26, 2024.

In this competition, 5-member teams of high school students test their environmental science knowledge in aquatics, wildlife, forestry, soil science, and a special topic that changes each year. The 2023-2024 special topic is Renewable Energy for a Sustainable Future.
YCLI is a unique opportunity for high school students to receive experience and engage in networking opportunities to prepare them for future education and career paths. Participants learn about conservation and participate in a year-long project of their choice.
