What We Do

The mission of the FCRHA is to initiate and provide opportunities for Fairfax County residents to live in safe, affordable housing and to help develop, preserve, and revitalize communities through fiscally responsible and open processes.

EMERGENCY HOUSING AND RENT ASSISTANCE

  • Fairfax County Residents:  If you need assistance with emergency housing or rent assistance, call Coordinated Services Planning at 703-222-0880, TTY 711 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information on the Emergency Rental Assistance program, visit our Eviction Prevention page.
  • Fairfax County Landlords: If you are seeking rent assistance on behalf of tenants, visit our Eviction Prevention page. You can register for the Landlord Portal and get eligibility criteria and portal instructions.

Special Update: January 30, 2025

The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) does not anticipate any impacts on its federal rental assistance programs.  We are processing February Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) on our regular schedule, and property owners will receive their payments as planned. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will provide Housing Choice Voucher program updates should they occur. We remain committed to ensuring that all Fairfax County residents have access to needed programs, services and resources.
