Celebrate all things teen at FCPL with these events and more!

Whether you’re into filmmaking or graphic design, you want to vote for your favorite YA books, or you like to lean into your creepy side during spooky season, we’ve got something for you in this year’s annual TeenTober celebration.

Here’s a peek at what’s in store in October 2021:

• Teens’ Top 10 Voting
• Want a say in which titles are chosen as the best 10 YA books of the year? Vote for your favorites at ala.org through Oct. 15, and vote with FCPL using this form Sept. 9-17 for the chance to win copies of all 10 of 2020's winning books!
• Teen Film Festival
• Filmmakers can submit their creations to FCPL’s annual film fest through Oct. 1, and everyone can watch this year’s entries and vote for your favorites! Films that make it to the final round will be posted to FCPL’s YouTube channel for you to watch in October. Winners will be announced at the end of TeenTober.
• Teen Cover Art Contest
• Take a peek at this year’s contest entries and vote for your favorite artwork. Winners will be announced at the end of TeenTober.
• All Hallows Read
• Celebrate things that go bump in the night by reading scary books all month long. 
• Meet YA Author Jeff Zentner
• Meet the award-winning author of The Serpent King, Goodbye Days and Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee.
