The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
The chosen candidate will provide direct treatment and medical support for residents residing in the Fairfax Detoxification Center (FDC) and other residential Substance Use Treatment programs . Under Supervision of a nursing supervisor and medical provider, functions as a resource on medical issues for non-medical personnel. Serves as the liaison to community resource pharmacy and community medical providers. Provides clinical collaboration with physicians/medical staff and the mental health treatment team regarding medical support services to clients. Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides assessment, outreach, support services, crisis intervention, education, and life skills training to Fairfax County citizens who are seriously mentally ill or those with co-occurring Mental Health and Substance Abuse Disorders.  Conducts and gathers relevant research information on medical services and educates program staff. Encourages client’s compliance with program rules and expectations. This position is designated emergency series personnel and is expected to report for duty even in cases of inclement weather.

•    Provides nursing services to individuals in residential settings;

6.    Educate and encourage individuals to complete an annual physical, dental, and eye examination.
7.    Contact the primary care physician directly to facilitate and coordinate care.
8.    Support clients with some case management needs. You will not be assigned a caseload. 
9.    Request hospital records to include admission history, discharge summary, lab and test results, consultations, and all recommendations for medical follow-up.
10.    Scheduled follow-up appointments and consulted with the medical team for complex medical conditions to ensure correct care coordination as deemed necessary.
11.    Provide nursing services to clients in the community.
12.    May carry a small caseload for case management.

The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board is hiring two temporary part-time clinical psychologists to conduct comprehensive evaluations of both minors (16.1-642) and adults (37.2-815) who have been civilly detained pursuant to (16.1-640.1 or 37.2-809); and to complete independent examiner reports (adults) or qualified evaluator reports (minors) for submission to the court prior to civil commitment hearings.

Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from an accredited college or university.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSURES REQUIRED: 
Possession of a current license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications: PhD/ PsyD; Knowledge and ability to apply psychological principles and methods in the diagnosis prevention, treatment, and amelioration of psychological problems, emotional and/or mental conditions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other professional staff members and the public. Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, comprehensive risk assessment and written reports; Provide psychoeducation regarding treatment needs, risk assessment, and other clinical information to client and parties involved in the involuntary detention process. Familiar with court proceeding, appear and testify as requested.
