Happy Holidays from Fairfax Connector

For Immediate Release
November 29, 2023

Keep your eyes peeled this holiday season for festive cookies, Santa gnomes and plaid trees!

Three specially wrapped Fairfax Connector buses are now traveling all throughout Fairfax County.  These buses are sure to bring a smile to your face. If you spot one, safely take a picture and share with us on Facebook or Twitter. Use the hashtag #HolidayBus or #FairfaxConnector.

Everyone who shares will be entered into a drawing for a $50 SmarTrip® card. A winner will be announced and notified the week of January 1, 2024.

And that’s not all! Fairfax Connector is hosting its first ever Winterfest and Santa Bus. This is a FREE event, and open to the public.

  • When: Saturday, December 9, 2023
  • Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Location: Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Pkwy, Fairfax)

Due to the popularity of this event, our Santa Bus tickets are sold out, but we’ve added a Cookies with Mrs. Claus bus! Get your general admission tickets here.

What else to expect at Winterfest:

  • Free hot cocoa & kettle corn
  • Write a letter to Santa!
  • Games, music, food trucks, heated table areas
  • Free Fairfax Connector ride coupons and other goodies

We also encourage Winterfest attendees to help us Stuff-A-Bus! To support our community, Fairfax County Department of Transportation, Fairfax Connector & Transdev are collecting new, unwrapped toys and coats for children ages 5 to 10 years old. Bring donated items to the Santa Gnomes bus at the Winterfest event. The toys and coats collected will be delivered to children at three Fairfax County public schools the week of December 11, 2023.

More details about Winterfest, the Santa Bus and Stuff-A-Bus can be found here.
