What We Do

Fairfax Connector is the largest local bus system in the Northern Virginia region transporting approximately 26,000 passengers on 93 routes daily. Our goal is to provide world class transportation service that promotes greater mobility, improves the safety of our community, and enhances the quality of life for our residents.

Fairfax Connector's New System Map

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) will implement changes to select Fairfax Connector bus routes, effective May 17, 2025. These updates are part of FCDOT’s ongoing efforts to enhance service reliability, respond to rider feedback, and align with evolving travel patterns across the region.

Key Adjustments:

  • New Routes:
    • 670 - cross-county connection from Chantilly to Franconia-Springfield
    • 652 - provides bus coverage to the Franklin Farms area
  • Route 599 will be discontinued. Passengers traveling to the Pentagon and Crystal City can use Route 598, which serves both Reston South and Reston North Park and Ride lots.
  • Route 353 will realign to service the new Franconia Government Center in Kingstowne (opening Summer 2025)

Several additional routes will undergo minor service adjustments: 310, 321, 322, 350, 352, 494, 598, 605, 615, 642, 803
