Qigong and Taiji for Caregiver Well-being

In this virtual health and wellness workshop, hosted by the Fairfax Area Agency on Aging, join Pauline Reid, Certified National Qigong Association Advanced Instructor, for a virtual Qigong and Taiji workshop. Qigong (chee-gung) is an ancient Chinese practice that combines gentle movement, breath, and meditation to reduce stress and support emotional balance and well-being, and Taiji offers similar benefits. Caregivers give so much to others. Allow yourself the time and space to care for and nurture yourself. Movements can be modified to suit individual needs. All practices may be done standing or seated.
Recommended that attendees have:
• water, or some hydrating beverage on hand
• A firm chair or stool to sit on
• Wear loose comfortable clothing
• Footwear options: bare feet or socks or shoes with thin flexible shoes. If you need certain shoes for comfort and/or support that's fine too.
• No props or mats are needed
