Energy Rocks!
It Isn't All About Weight: It's about Health and Fitness for Teen

The Chill Spot Teen Center is beginning a new fitness program for young people ages 12 – 18 years of age. The program is called Energy Rocks! “We are looking for teens who want to increase their level of health and fitness,” says Jessica Esparza, program director, Fairfax County Community and Recreation Services. “This program is free and will help teens get fit and stay fit.”

To participate in Energy Rocks, you must be a Teen Center member. Joining is easy and membership is FREE. You only need to be in the seventh through twelfth grades and live in Fairfax County.

Interested youth should drop by the Chill Spot located in the James Lee Community Center, 2855-A Annandale Road in Falls Church. The Chill Spot provides teens with fun, a positive environment that encourages social, recreational, and educational growth. The teen center offers a safe place for socializing and resources for study, sports, and other productive activities. The Chill Spot is open Monday through Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 10 p.m., you can find out all about Energy Rocks and sign up to become a member at the Chill Spot.
