Pool, Spa, Locker Rooms and Saunas

• Closed – August 4 to September 1
• The pool reopens to the public for all activities on a normal schedule beginning September 2.
• Please note that the locker rooms will not be air conditioned from September 2 to October 13, due to construction in the main building. However, they will be ventilated and circulating air.
• The bleachers and lobby areas will not be accessible from August 4 – October 13 to patrons and spectators due to the construction.

Fitness Center, Racquetball Courts, Public Areas and Classrooms

• Closed August 4 to October 13
• To keep you active, Oak Marr fitness staff will offer some specialty fitness classes during the closure nearby at the Government Center. Check the fall Parktakes Magazine for offerings.

Classes

• Fall classes (other than aquatics) will start up at Oak Marr on October 14 and continue for the rest of the fall.

I’m a pass holder, what do I do with my pass during the shutdown?

• Your pass is honored and can be used at any Fairfax County Park Authority facility.
• If another facility is not convenient, you may turn your pass in at any point during the shutdown to our front desk, we will put your pass on hold and return it when requested.

Expect to see a difference

• In addition to a deep cleaning, there will be noticeable differences to include a new pool whitecoat with new tiling, new deep-water access stairs, caulking and grouting on the pool deck and locker rooms along with refinished saunas.

Expect to feel a difference.

• New heating and air conditioning system and air ducts throughout the building.
