Capital Facilities (CAP) is one of four Business Areas within the Department of Public Works and Environmental Services (DPWES). CAP is responsible for the surveying, land acquisition, planning, design, and construction management for the implementation of county capital construction projects, including public buildings such as police stations, fire stations, libraries, etc. and projects implemented through public- private partnerships and other alternative delivery methods. CAP also is responsible for the implementation of infrastructure improvement projects such as streetlight projects, sanitary sewer improvements, sanitary sewer pump stations, pollution control plant improvements/upgrades, and the land acquisition and construction management of transportation and stormwater projects. The deputy director, DPWES – CAP, oversees capital project implementation and manages the operations of the Capital Facilities business area.
