Construction is anticipated to be complete in winter 2024.
What To Expect
During construction, residents may hear noises related to construction activities and see construction equipment entering and existing the site. After construction, the stream will have a new channel alignment with natural channel design practices incorporated within the stream. The baseball field closest to Hummer Road will be removed and the property will be reforested. A new pedestrian bridge at Hirst Drive will be installed.
Project Cost and Funding Source
The cost of project design is $800,000. Construction cost is funded for $3,361,460. Stormwater projects are funded through the county Stormwater Service District.
